Non-essential government offices, courthouses, public libraries and city offices are all closed on Monday, January 17th.

US post offices are also closed today and delivery and collections will resume on Tuesday, January 18th. Other services such as UPS and FedEx remain open but some locations might have reduced working hours.

Supermarkets and retail stores are open today. Big retailers such as Target, Costco and Walmart and restaurants chains are open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2022.

However, some stores may have reduced working hours due to staff shortage. Earlier this month, Macy’s informed customers that it has reduced its hours for the rest of January.
