Brad Pitt Tells The Story Of How He Defended Gwyneth Paltrow From Harvey Weinstein!

It’s no secret that Harvey Weinstein was involved in a lot of drama to the point that it started an entire anti-harassment movement in Hollywood and pretty much everywhere! That being said, it turns out that Brad Pitt has a past with the disgraced producer as well.

More precisely, the actor’s former fiancé, Gwyneth Paltrow is one of the many women who accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct.

While he insists that the claims against him are not true, the actress previously shared that Pitt once came to her defense when the Hollywood producer made unwanted advances towards her.

When asked about it during a new interview for CNN, the actor explained the reason why he stood up to Weinstein at the time.

‘I was just a boy from the Ozarks on the playground, and that is how we confronted with things. I wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen, because she (Paltrow) was going to do 2 films [with Weinstein]. I think that the interesting thing is that we, Hollywood specifically, but the workplace, men and women’s dynamics is being recalibrated,’ Pitt dished to the outlet.

He added that it is ‘Recalibrated in a good way that’s long overdue. And I do think that is an important story to tell.’

Paltrow opened up about Pitt’s ‘fantastic intervention’ while a guest on The Howard Stern Show last year.

The actress had signed to do two movies with him when the producer made a move on her.

‘I was afraid…we were at the opening of Hamlet on Broadway… and Harvey was also there, and Brad, it was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically. It was fantastic, because what he did was he actually leveraged his fame and his power to protect me at a time when I did not have fame or power yet. He’s the best.’
