Ed. shares powerful visual for debut new single 'Live Yours'

Publish date: 2024-06-02

Rising singer/songwriter Ed. continues to showcase his artistry this week with the release of the music video for his debut single ‘Live Yours’.

Directed by JQ and Andrey Krauzov, with Creative Direction and story conceived by the singer himself, the cinematic clip sees the American recording artist appear as a being who was born in space, visiting planet earth for the very first time.

With limited knowledge of what to expect of his new surroundings, other than the information passed onto him by his ancestors, Ed. arrives in London to discover all life on earth is extinct. But instead of being blindsided by his findings, the Miami native finds beauty in the silence, and gratitude in the simplicity of life in the British capital.

With its empowering message and irrepressible beat, ‘Live Yours’ caused quite a commotion following its release late last year, amassing an impressive 300,000 streams in just a matter of weeks.

Produced by Darkchild protégé Jack Lawson (SZA, Alex Vaugh, Blxst, Ty Dolla $ign) and mixed by Denis Koziak (Khalid, Majid Jordan, Lil Durk), the experimental track blends off-kilter R&B sounds with cadences of “psychedelic sonics”, and undertones of high-energy Hip-Hop to create an audacious, avant-garde, stone cold groove that exudes a sense of both freedom and truth.

Speaking aloud the messages he hopes to convey through his music, Ed. says: “Art is an expression of identity, freedom of mind and truth to your own definition of creation.”

“I believe it is important to always stay present, show up as your best self and strive daily to become more aligned with the cosmic beings we all truly are. My music is a message to stray away from other people’s perspectives, find yourself daily, be open to change and always stay mindful in the moments that make up your journey.”
