Jim Harbaugh is serving as the 20th head coach for Michigan Wolverines. Harbaugh was picked by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft. Career
College Career
In February 1982, Harbaugh perpetrated to play football for the Michigan Wolverines Football team. Harbaugh completed 25 out of 39 passes while rushing for 272 yards. On 6th October 1984, he lost the game to Michigan State in the fifth game.
Harbaugh broke his left arm badly when he loosely dove the ball and collided with Spartan linebacker Thomas Tyree. That time, Harbaugh had to be carried from the field using a stretcher and due to this, he missed the left-out seasons.
Harbaugh completed 60 out of 111 passes while rushing for 718 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions while playing for the 1984 season. By April 1985, his arm healed somehow and he showed his presence in the seasons while completing 10 out of 16 passes and rushing for 146 yards in the annual spring game.
Coaching Career
While still playing for the NFL, Harbaugh was assigned to be an unpaid assistant coach at Western Kentucky University where his father Jack used to be the head coach. In 2002, he made his comeback in the NFL as a quarterback coach and later returned to college ranks in 2004 as the head coach at the University of San Diego.
After making a prominent presence in the consecutive Pioneer League Championships in 2005 and 2006, he moved to Stanford in 2007 where he approached for cardinal to two bowl berths in four seasons out of which one of his winning seasons was made with Orange Bowl in 2011.
On 30th December 2014, Harbaugh was introduced as the new head football coach at the University of Michigan. On 14th November, he hosted Wisconsin where Michigan accepted its largest halftime deficit at home.
Then on 28th November 2020, Michigan hosted Penn State and for the first time, he lost the game to another team with 0-5 or even worse. This was the first time when Michigan didn’t win any game at home. On 8th January 2021, Harbaugh was signed by Michigan with a four-year contract extension from 2021 through 2025.

Harbaugh has also been involved in charity work in Piura, Peru. Jim Harbaugh is currently living his his second wife Sarah. They have been married since 2008, with four kids, Addison, Katherine, Jack, and John. They crossed paths back in 2006 in Las Vegas, where Sarah, then Sarah Feuerborn, was working in real estate. Harbaugh shared with HBO Sports that they met at a P.F. Chang’s Chinese food spot.
