He was brought up in the United States alongside his 2 sisters after being adopted.
John began taking an interest in dancing while he was in grade 2. It was his mother who signed him up for lessons after not being able to deal with the level of energy he possessed.
He joined the YouTube community with his self-titled channel on September 2, 2014. However, the last video that John uploaded to his account was on October 1, 2020. It was a video of him and the everlasting friendship that he and his friend James shared with one another.
In January 2021, John uploaded a post to his Instagram account after coming out of ICU at the Northside Hospital in Atlanta. According to his post, he had most likely succumbed to the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic but told his fans that he felt like he was out of danger and there was nothing to worry about. However, sadly it was the last post that John uploaded to his account with no further update on his medical condition.
Over the years, John has worked with several well-known artists and brands including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, World of Dance, and Shake It Up.
His motto “Stay Hydrated” #stayhyd came from a time when he visited Africa where he found it difficult to obtain clean drinking water. After that, he began raising money for various charities including Water.org.
