Monsta X & Steve Aoki Release English Version Of "Play It Cool"

K-pop sensation Monsta X has released the English version of their single, “Play It Cool,” a collaboration with Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Steve Aoki. The release comes weeks after the group shared their EP, Take.2 We Are Here., which featured the Korean version of the track.

Aoki composed, arranged and produced the track, alongside co-writer and Monsta X rapper, I.M. The song features Aoki’s signature electro-pop sound paired with Monsta X’s vocals that sing the addictive chorus, “Baby I like the way that you keep moving ’round this place and when you’re dancin’ in my face, I just play it cool.” The upbeat song is perfect for a night out at the club.

Monsta X shared in a statement that is was “such an honor” to work with Aoki. “He is truly an amazing artist and producer,” they said. “After the great success of the Korean version, we can’t wait to see the responses to the English version from all over the world. This collab is a gift from us to our ‘monbebe’, for always taking care of us and keeping it cool. Thank you.”

The group will be embarking on their ‘We Are Here’ world tour next month, which begins in Seoul on April 13. They will head to the United States later this summer, with their first stop being in Dallas, TX at the Verizon Theatre on July 24th. Following the U.S leg of their tour, the group will be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 21 in Las Vegas.
